Vesta Pearl Trujillo

Our Sweet mother Vesta Pearl Trujillo, returned to the arms of her eternal companion Edward Trujillo Saturday, March 16, 2019  in Vernal. She was born at home, near Campa, Bach County, Colorado May 10, 1930 to Samuel and Ruth Shaw Peters. She was the 5th child of seven children.

The family move to Delta Colorado in 1939 where she attended school. She married the love of her life, Edward Trujillo when he returned from serving in World War II. They married October 15, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple 1954 after they became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1953. Together they shared 50 1/2 years of love and devotion here on this earth which will continue through out eternity.

Her husband Eddie preceded her in death along with her parents Samuel and Ruth Peters, daughter, Donna Bagley and granddaughter Natalie Bagley. Sisters Darlene White, Arletta Markley, two brothers Doran and Truman Peters. And two great grandsons Adam Berthelson and Corbin Dansie.

She had three children, Donna Bagley (Richard), Viola Dansie (Raldon) and Tracy Trujillo. As an active member of the church, she served in many auxiliary positions. She also served two stake missions with her husband. She spent many hours on genealogy and gave any books and tapes to her children.

She had four sisters, Edna, Ives, Darlene White, Lorena Hudgens, Arletta Marley and two brothers, Doran Peters and Truman Peters. She had 14 grand children and 32 great grand children. Vesta was grateful for the gospel and knew that the greatest gift we have ever received was from our Heavenly Father who sent His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. She and her husband Eddie were the best example to all of us in living the Gospel.

She enjoyed knitting and made hundreds of dish clothes. Loved to read and loved to walk each day that she was able to. She will be remembered for making home made bread, soap, gardening, canning fruits and vegetables. A lot of family and ward members of her church will remember her for her good home made tortillas.
