Shirley Renee Fliegel

Shirley R. Fliegel, age 83, of Meeker, Colorado, was born in Provo, Utah to Byron C. and Vera M. Ottosen. 

She attendant school at Powell Park School in her early years. Then was in the Meeker school system. Graduated from Mesa Arizona in 1955. She attendant BYU in Provo, Utah; She graduated in 1959. She then went on a 2-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Guatemala. She moved to Phoenix area and worked at Motorola until her retirement. While there she met and eloped to Las Vegas with Everette Fliegel. Her health forced her to move to assisted living. She worked and gave money, handworks involving weaving and plastics canvas. She passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020. She leaves behind her sister, JoAnn Findley, 2 nieces; Tammy (Mike) Etzler and Debbie (Bill) Jordan; 3 nephews Rodney (Tanya) Findley, Michel (Tiffany) Ottosen, Larry (Laura) Ottosen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Fliegel; her parents, Bryron & Vera Ottosen;  brothers, Byron LaVar Ottosen, Duane Peter Ottsoen & Lyle Clinton Ottosen. 

Graveside services will be Friday, January 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Highland Cemetery, Meeker Colorado. We will meet at the Cemetery. Services are under the direction Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
