Joyce Finley

Joyce Alene Hutchison was born in Fort Stockton, TX May 31, 1935.  Joyce passed away on Good Friday April 10, 2020 at Colorow Care Center of natural causes.  She as 84. 

She married Jack Robin Wood in 1951. Their marriage ended in divorce. He precedes her in death as of Feb 5, 2020.  

Three children were born from their marriage Jackie Lee Wood-Hensley, Ricky Wood and Mark Wood.  All three children preceded Joyce in death.  Jackie’s daughter Robin Guenter lives with her husband Leonard in Burnet, TX they have two grown sons and two grandkids.  Joyce’s older sister Jean lives in Arlington, TX and her younger brother lives in Monterey, VA with his wife Martha.

Joyce married Kenneth Frank Finley October 1965 where she became stepmother to Ken’s six children.  Patricia Gross (Charlie) of Fort Collins, CO, Nancy Smith (Frank) of Spokane, WA, Doris Richards (Ken) of Austin, CO, Randy Finley (Lina) of West Bremerton, WA, Phillip Finley (Peggy) of New Castle, CO & Steven Finley (Lana) of Green River, WY.  

There were 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren & 7 great- great- grandchildren. One grandchild and 1 great-great grandchild preceded her in death.  

Joyce & her late husband Kenneth became members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1977.  Joyce loved to cross stich, make afghans and read.  She also loved her dogs which she mostly rescued from the Animal Shelters.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Blackburn & Sons Vernal Mortuary. Burial will be at the Vernal Memorial Park.
