Carlyle M. Rollins
Born June 8, 1938 in Cedar City, Utah to Evan Rollins and Hilda Eyre Rollins.
Passed away surrounded by his family on March 24, 2019.
He married the love of his life, Helen Nowers, on July 15, 1958, and together had
four children: Shane (Melinda) Rollins, Curt (Anita) Rollins, Nicole Rollins, Chance
(Paige) Rollins and extended family Linette Rollins. Presently they have 10 grand
children, 15 great grand children and one great-great granddaughter.
Carlyle worked for the United States Department of Agriculture as a government
trapper for approximately 52 years. He received numerous awards throughout his
career for his great achievements and later retired in 2011.
Much of his life was spent doing what he loved, breaking and racing horses, and
making many life-long friends along the way at various racetracks.
He loved his kids, grand and great, more than anything. He did his best to attend
every single school program, dance recital, and/or sporting event they may have
been involved in.
Survived by his wife, children, grand children, great grand children, great-great
granddaughter, his brother Gary Rollins, and sister-in-law Geraldine Haycock and
many nieces and nephews.
Proceeded in death by his parents, his brothers Gene, Don and Dick , and sister
Kathryn Bowen.
His motto was, “Smile at everyone you see”, as Carlyle never knew a stranger.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 29, 2019. at 1:00 PM at the Naples Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (2313 South 1500 East). Viewings will be Thursday from 6-8 at the Blackburn & Sons Vernal Mortuary and Friday at the Church from 11:45-12:45 prior to the services Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
