Violet Kay Jackson

Violet Kay (Gardner) Jackson Kay was born on October 18, 1932, in Hayden, UT and passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, after a fifty-six year battle with five types of cancer. Kay was a resident of Vernal, UT at the time of her passing. Kay is survived by her husband of 64 years, Earl Jackson of Vernal, UT, and four children and their spouses: Kaylene & Jeff Ellis of Vernal, UT; Danny & Joyce Jackson of Enid, OK; Larry & Jeannie Jackson of Arlington, TX; and Rene & Jeff Wood of Heber, UT; 27 Grandchildren; 28 Great Grandchildren; and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Kay is preceded in death by her mother and father - Hazel and Elmer Gardner; 3 Sisters - Verona Goff, Joan Smuin and Rosalie Rowley; 2 Grandchildren - Jason Ellis & Jade Ellis; and 1 Great Grandchild - Tommy Wood. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the Davis 4th Ward Chapel (3990 South 1500 East) in Vernal. Viewing for her family and friends will be at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary (15 East 100 North) in Vernal on Friday evening, May 29th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and Saturday, May 30th from 9:45 -10:45 AM, prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park, under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
