Valla DeCrow

Valla Rai Griffith DeCrow, age 89 of Vernal, passed away at her home on September 4, 2012. She was born one of sixteen children to Charles and Olga Lindeman Griffith on October 4, 1922 in Hillsboro, North Dakota. Valla married Claude F. DeCrow and moved from Grand Junction Colorado to Vernal 20 years ago. She was a devout and faithful member of the Jehovahs Witness Church till the very end. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, hunting and camping. But she loved spending time with her family, especially water skiing. Valla is survived by her children; Sonny (Nora) DeCrow of Idaho, Tim (Susie) Decrow of Colorado, Terry (Heather) DeCrow of Colorado, Carol Jewart of Vernal and Linda (Bill) Milholland of Vernal, siblings Jim, Duane, Dean, Arrahwanna, and Deanna, and numerous grand and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Claude, children; Judy Oviatt and son Roger DeCrow, and siblings; Victor, Joy, Clarica, Mary Ellen, Charles Jr., Ralph, Virginia Mae, Gwendolyn and Lynn. There will be a family gathering at a later date in Grand Junction to honor Valla.
