Uvon Workman

Beryl Uvon (Harvey) Workman passed away on September 21, 2015 in Vernal, Utah. She was born on August 30, 1928 to William Kellett Harvey and Minnie Esther Smith in Tridell, Utah. She spent her youth on the family dairy farm. She graduated from Alterra High School in 1946. She married Billie Lee Workman on August 16, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple and they recently celebrated 67 years of marriage. She lived in Rangely, Myton, Salt Lake City, Boise, Idaho, and then moved to Vernal in 1972. Uvon was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings through the years. Uvon loved to travel, sew, garden, and spend time with family and friends. Uvon is survived by her husband, four children Boneta (Brent) Brown, Glendon (Shanna) Workman, Robert (Suzanne) Workman, and Cydnie (Jeff) Fox, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her sister Flora Fitzhugh. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Marlon and Junius, and sisters Verna Hoopes and Shirlene Harvey. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Uintah Care Center for their compassionate care over the last year and a half. Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Glines 1st Ward Chapel at 1500 West and Highway 40 with a viewing one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
