Tonna Shiflett

Tonna Akelund Shiflett, age 81 of Vernal. Born March 27, 1938 to Alfonzo and Marjorie Akeluns in Vernal, Utah. She married Lewis (Sonny) Shiflett October 13, 1954. They have four children. Tonna was an active member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. She faithfully served in her callings. She served as a temple worker. 

Tonna is survived her husband Lewis; Children Raymond (Carrie) Shiflett and Annette (Scott) Caldwell; 11 Grandchildren; 24 Great grandchildren; 2 Great-great grandchildren; Sisters Larin Murray and Velda Watkins.

Tonna is preceded in death by her son Brent Shiflett; Daughter Colleen Shiflett; Parents Alfonzo and Marjorie Akelund; Great grandson Kolby Shiflett; Brother Wilis Aklund; Sister Shirley (Cooper) Barnett.

Tonna was a greatly loved and she will be missed dearly. We would like to thank the Vernal Care Center for the great job they did in taking care of her.
