Tina Thompson

Tina Lee Thompson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away at the young age of 54 at her home in Mesa, AZ on September 20, 2015 after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Tina was born on January 19, 1961 in Chicago, IL to Keith and Patrica Melhorn. On January 1, 1982, she married Jeff Big T Thompson. And together for 29 years, they raised a beautiful family until Jeffs passing in 2011. She then married her angel and inspiration Jerry Dunlap on December 27, 2014. Tina had three children; Patty, Rick, and Adam, which were her pride and joy. Through her marriage to Jerry, she added three more children; Dawn, Jerry, and Tawnya, to her beloved family. Tina loved the outdoors. She loved the mountains and could never get enough sunshine. She enjoyed fishing, exploring, and taking walks. She loved to dance, dance, dance. You could always catch her dancing somewhere, anywhere. She also enjoyed playing poker, pool, and darts with friends. She liked to cook, and made the best apple cranberry crisp ever! Some of her most precious moments were spending time with loved ones. Tina completed her GED through the Uintah Basin School District and went on to complete 3 years of college at Utah State University in accounting. She worked for Lowes in Vernal, UT for many years and took so much pride in her job. Tina is survived by her husband, Jerry Dunlap; children, Patrica (Robert) Rich, Richard Thompson, and Adam (Iraq War Veteran) (Breanna) Thompson; step-children, Dawn Soderstrom, Jerry Dunlap II, and Tawnya Dunlap; grandchildren, Vitoria, Carissa, RayLynn, LauraLee, Jonathan, Chloe, Emma, and Abbadon; sisters, Denise (Edwin) Ruby, and Debbie Daghi-Goodman. She is preceded in death by her parents, late husband, Jeff, and in-laws, Samuel and Carolyn Thompson and Delmar and Frances Dunlap. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 12:00 noon, at the Vernal Blackburn Mortuary. Dance with the angels our dear sweet Tina until we meet again.
