Thomas A Wood

Thomas Allen Wood, age 89 of Naples passed away on November 14, 2023.  He was born July 22, 1934 in Farmington, Utah to William Albert and Minnie Louise Hess Wood.  Tom served in the U.S. Navy.  He married Elaine Mikesell and together they had 4 children.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  He retired from Chevron Pipeline, was an expert welder helping anyone who needed repairs.  He loved gardening, always happy to share his produce from his garden.  Tom was an expert fisherman and tied his own flies-just don't ask where the fishing holes are.  He was generous, kind hearted, and loved children.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 1 sister, daughter Johanna, and son Donald John.  He is survived by his wife Elaine, daughter Linda Marie if Midvale, Utah and son Thomas William of Rock Springs, Wyoming, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Thomas will be Monday November 20, 2023 at 11 AM at the Naples LDS Chapel (2313 South 1500 East) with  viewings Sunday evening 6-8 pm at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and Monday at the Church 9:45-10:45 AM prior to the services.

Burial in the Farmington Cemetery Tuesday 12 NOON  with Military Honors.
