Shirley Ann Burns. May 10, 1937- June 22, 2015. West Jordan, UT. Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the lord my soul to keep. Angels watch me through the night, and wake me with the morning light. Amen. Shirley Ann Burns, went peacefully on June 22, 2015 to reunite for eternal life with lifetime companion Ralph Earl Burns. Shirley, was born to Ethel and Andrew Mortensen,on May 10,1937 in Murray, UT. Shirley married Ralph Burns on April 5, 1965. The two shared a total of 8 little stinkers. Daughter Debbie Mackay of Kuai. Daughter Tonya Abdullah of California. Robin and Gary Karren of Utah. Son Kevin Burns of Utah. Shirley had several rambunctious grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a sister, aunt, cousin and dear friend. Shirley was a long time resident of Vernal, UT. She adored long conversations over coffee or ice tea with family and friends. Shirley had a green thumb for always having a perfectly manicured yard. May all her joy and beauty be laid to rest but carried in our hearts as we gather one last time for the celebration of Shirley Ann Burns, life. Join us on Wednesday July 1,2015, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Blackburn, Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m at the same location.
