Sharol Ann Davidson Thomson, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Vernal, Utah.  Sharol was born on July 6, 1940 in Urie, Wyoming to Dr. Amber C. Davidson and Sylvia Jane (Kilbourn) Davidson. Sharol was one of ten children. 

Sharol was raised in Lyman Wyoming where she went to High School and worked in the family store. She enjoyed school and friends.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 

On May 20, 1960 she married Franklin Dee Thomson in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.  

Together they had five children: Mark Allen, Michelle, Franklin Greg, Margo and Jared Dee.

In 1972 Sharol & Frank purchased the Vernal Mortuary, in Vernal Utah. Together they operated the Thomson’s Vernal Mortuary for the next 28 years.  They worked side by side and loved serving the people of Vernal and surrounding communities.  She was also a member of Current Topics Club and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Sharol loved yard work, flowers, and always had a beautiful yard.  She was an excellent cook and always had a place for anyone at their dinner table. She also enjoyed golfing and even once made a “Hole in One”

Sharol was very generous and loved by many.  She will be missed.

She is survived by: her children Mark & (Susan) Thomson of Waialua, HI; Michelle & (Lance) Morton of Vernal UT; Greg Thomson of Las Vegas, NV; Margo & (Scott) Revert of Vernal, UT; and JD & (Aderyn) Thomson of Vernal, UT; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sisters Jean Gaylord, Patricia Riggs, and Elaine Burleson

She is preceded in death by her parents Dr. Amber C Davidson and Sylvia Jane (Kilbourn) Davidson, brothers Amber Charles Davidson, Edwin Joseph Davidson, Nels Fransis Davidson, sisters Virginia Joyce Davidson, Florence Maevonne Reese, and Carol Louise Barnes.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. A viewing will be from 12:30-2:00 PM prior to the services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
