Rosalind Fouts Ralphs

Our special wife, mother, grandmother, and friend... Rosalind Ralphs passed away at the University of Utah Hospital on Sunday, September 24th, 2017. Rosalind was born January 18th, 1945 to Lona "Cookie" and Alex Fouts in Bingham, Utah. Lona later married Grand Smith. Rosalind met the love of her life, Blaine Ralphs, while attending school, which she then later received her GED. They married on December 2nd, 1962 and later had 4 children and adopted their son, Curtis. Rosalind had many hobbies that she loved such as bowling - where she bowled for many, many years, and was the secretary for numerous leagues. She recruited everyone to fill the lanes. She also enjoyed reading, quilting, crocheting, gambling, dancing, rides to the mountain, playing games on her "Kindle", and keeping up with the world on Facebook. She loved card games of all kinds: canasta, bridge, rummy, spades, skip-bo, solitaire, and liver-pool with anybody that would play with her. Let's not forget her bingo nights in Grand Junction, Ft. Duchesne, Cassidy's Club, and the Western Park, where she made numerous friends anywhere she went. Rosalind worked numerous jobs such as: waitressing at the Trailway's Cafe, Judd's Answering Service, Secretary for Mortenson's Brothers, cooked for Beehive Home, drove the transportation bus at the Golden Age Center where she also arranged trips to Mesquite and Wendover, then was Vernal's cab driver. Rosalind loved her family very much, and was always worrying about them. She enjoyed the time spent with them watching ball games, playing cards, games, cuddles, camping, and all the fun time spent together. She was very proud of each of her grandkids, and you could see it in her smile. Rosalind was a people person with a Heart of Gold. She was always willing to help a person in need with babysitting, writing resumes, making phone calls, and anything that she was asked to help with. She was especially fond of helping the "under-dogs". Rosalind could tell a joke like no other - clean, dirty, she knew them all. Her laugh was unforgettable, just as she will be. We will love and miss her forever, but know she will be looking over all of us. Rosalind is survived by her husband Blaine, children - twins Larry & Laurel (Jeff), Kent, and Curtis (Jennifer). Brother - Alex "Butch" Fouts, and sister-in-law Cherie. Grandchildren: Cormac (Tonya), Gabe, Cashious, Damion, Chance, and Kyle. Niece and Nephew - Christie and David. Preceded in death by her parents and son - Grant Lavon Ralphs.
