Rio Dan Slaugh

Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and friend was welcomed into the arms of our heavenly father on April 17th 2025 Peacefully surrounded by his family.

Dan was born on August 27th 1935 to Benjamin and Birdie Slaugh. He was raised in Vernal UT along with thirteen siblings. Dan served as a cook in the US army in a time of peace in 1952.

He went on to marry the love of his life, Rayma McKee on May 14th 1956. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS temple. Together they have two children Lisa Ann and Lee Dan.

Dan worked in the oil industry he loved his cabin at oaks park where he liked to fish, cut firewood, and spend time with all his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Rayma Slaugh, children Lisa Ann Slaugh, Lee (Karla)Slaugh, grandchildren, Brooke Dimick, Brandi (Jesse) Clapper, Tyler (Kenned) Chivers, Dustin (Dulcey) Slaugh, Brittni (Jarod) Holmes, Kimesha (Morgan) McConkie. Twenty Five great grandchildren and two Great- Great Grandchildren.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Birdie Slaugh. Thirteen siblings, and Three Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Maeser stake center with viewings held Tuesday April 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Blackburn Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the Maeser Stake Center. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview cemetery.
