Rex Lance Gardner

Rex “Lance” Gardner died on March 16, 2024 in Scottsdale, AZ.  Lance was born April 22, 1953 to Elden and Carole Kelsey Gardner.  He enjoyed spending his winters in Scottdale, AZ and summers in Vernal, UT.  Lance owned and operated several businesses during his lifetime, including Bull Ring in Vernal and Roosevelt; a ranch in Deep Creek; and property management in Scottsdale.  Lance loved horses.  He competed as team roper in his earlier years and enjoyed traveling with Jill to watch her compete in horse shows in his later years. Spending time in the mountains fishing with his friends was his favorite past time.

Lance is survived by his long-time partner, Jill Case; sister Robyn (Ron) Reay; sister-in-law Linda Gardner; niece Saige (Bret) Davis, nephews Shawn (Sarah) Gardner and Seth (Tammie) Galley.

Lance is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Tom Gardner and Layne Gardner. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, March 23, at 12 Noon at the Maeser Fairview Cemetery.
