Raymond Gene Bigelow

Raymond Gene Bigelow, age 73, of Vernal passed away on January 10, 2023. He was born on September 13, 1949 to Vera and Raymond Bigelow in Roosevelt, Utah.

Gene worked for Uintah County, was on the Round-up Rodeo committee, and volunteered with Search and Rescue. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various callings in his ward, also serving as a Temple worker.

He was exceptionally talented at cabinetry and interacted woodwork, sewing his own clothes, beautiful leatherwork, amazing at baking and cooking, gardener, farmer and welder.

Gene is survived by his daughter, Cindi Ann Bigelow, of Salt Lake City, Utah, siblings, Clifford Bigelow, and Laura Plumb.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vera and Raymond Bigelow, sisters; Twila Cochran, Betty Richman, Helen Chivers, and Phillis Bigelow.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 10 am at the Davis Ward Chapel (3990 South 1500 East) with a visitation held 1 hour prior. Burial will be in the Lapoint Cemetery under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
