Phyllis Irene Eddy Slaugh

Phyllis Slaugh, age 83, died Dec. 20, 2020 at her home.  Phyllis was born on May 13, 1937, in Hayden, Colorado, the first born and oldest child of three, of John Herbert and Ina Dalrymple Eddy. She married Murray Douglas (Doug) Slaugh on May 26, 1955, his 18thbirthday. Of this marriage came two children; Carrie Lynnette and Travis Douglas. Phyllis worked several jobs through her life, from a telephone operator in Rangely, Colorado, to a secretary in several doctor’s offices, Tosco, an oilfield company and her last job was bookkeeper at Napa Auto Parts in Vernal.

Phyllis enjoyed reading books and being with her family, especially her two grandchildren; Libbi (David) Green and Cole (Kassy) Murray and five great-grandchildren; Jake and Sam Green and Macy, Jace and Cloe Murray.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Kenney of Grand Junction, Colorado, and brother John (Julie) Eddy Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Also, many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, and many in-law family members.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Vernal Memorial Park. She will be laid to rest next to her husband of over 50 years.
