Paul Duane Lamb

Paul Duane Lamb was born April 9, 1964 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to WaNeta Biorn and Duane Marcell Lamb. He died September 30, 2013 in Salt Lake City from complications after surgery. Paul grew up in Manila and graduated from high school in Logan. He attended college in Cedar City and at Dixie and received his Bachelor of Science from Utah State. His final job was engineer in the oil fields, but the jobs he loved most were math tutor, counselor for troubled youth, EMT, assistant county extension horticulturalist and firefighter for the Forest Service. He was a complex, intelligent person with many interests. He had a green thumb and was a self-taught horticulturalist who created beautiful gardens and the landscaping to show them off. He collected coins and liked to do metal detecting. He loved motorcycling and watching movies. Most of all, he liked to read. Paul battled addiction much of his life, but in the end he was clean and sober. His family is so proud of him for not giving in or giving up. He leaves behind three children: Christopher Lamb, Tabbatha Roux, and Diannah Hughs all of St. Augustine, FL, two granddaughters, Angel and Athena, his mother, WaNeta Lamb Richman of Roosevelt, UT, his sisters, Terrie Lemon of St. George, UT, and Tracie Lamb of Auburn, WA, nephew John Gutz of Salt Lake City, UT, and nieces Emily and Sarah Kwon of Auburn, WA. We believe and fervently hope that those who went before him--Grandpa Biorn, Dad, his brother Mike, his good buddy and cousin Neal--were all waiting to greet him and take him home to heaven where there is an enormous library with a garden right outside the open doors. Funeral Services for Paul will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Manila LDS Ward Chapel. Friends and Family may call at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 prior to services. Burial will be in the Manila Cemetery, Services have to be entrusted to the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
