Nadean Samuels Brady

Nadean Brady, age 85 of Gillette, Wyoming died at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes on March 20, 2013. Dadean, known to her family and friends and Nade, was born in Vernal, Utah on January 15, 1928, the daughter of Guy K. and May Ann Corless Samuels. She grew up in Vernal and graduated from Uintah High School. After graduation she worked as a receptionist and bookkeeper. Nadean married Leon L. Brady on January 19, 1946 in Vernal. She spent her life as a wife and homemaker, caring for her three beloved daughters; Calleen, Jeaneen and Darlene. The family moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1968. Dadean was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a founding member of the Ladies Petroleum (Petro-Coal) Club, and she enjoyed the friendships made with the Daughters of the Nile marathon bridge players and her competitors in duplicate bridge. Nade enjoyed playing gold, bowling, including trips with her team to many national finals, pheasant hunting with friends, and any and all games at the Campbell County Senior Center. She treasured visits from her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dadean is survived by her husband, Leon Brady of Gillette, Wyoming, daughters; Calleen Pettey of Vernal, Jeaneen (Drue) Dryden of Gillette, and Darlene (Tom) Mclaughlin of Charlotte, North Carolina, grandchildren; Brittany (Shawn) Lane, Cole (Heidi), Janessa (Brett), Derek Pettey, Brady and Ryan McLaughlin, six grandchildren, and many wonderful, loving, lifetime friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Jay and Kenneth, and sister; Karma Ray Bethune. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vernal 3rd Ward LDS Chapel in Vernal with a viewing 1 hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the care and direction of the Walker Funeral Home in Gillette and the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
