Michael Johns

Michael Edward Johns of Hickory, North Carolina, died peacefully January 19, 2022 at his home in Hickory. Michael was a loving, caring person who was wheelchair-bound for many years and never complained about his difficult situation. Michael worked as a store clerk for salvation army in Hickory. He found joy in serving and ringing the bell at Christmas time for the salvation army. He loves people and was loved by everyone who came in contact with him. He is survived by his mother, Hazel Bentley of Vernal, Utah and Father, Wayne Johns of Rangely, Colorado; one sister, Robin Ponciano; brothers, Randall Johns, Matthew Johns, and Scott Johns. He is preceded in death by his brother, Dustin Johns.

There will be a memorial service held in Vernal, Utah at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
