Maxine Wilcken Marstella

Maxine W Marstella age 75 formally from Roosevelt, Ut passed away peacefully August 19, 2017. She is the oldest of 6 siblings. She was born January 27, 1942, in Duchesne, Utah, to Joseph Eugene and Verda Jones Wilcken. She married Merlan Murphy they had 3 childeren together then later divorced. She then married John Leslie Marstella. They moved to Salt Lake City, Ut then onto Arlington, TX where they made their home. John passed away September 4, 2003. Maxine was passionate about collecting Cookie Jars, Roseville Pottery and any kind of Antiques she could find. She also loved watching Nascar and the Utah Jazz. She loved camping, gardening and dancing. She was a member of the LDS Church. Maxine is survived by her two Daughters: Marcia (Steve) Hanberg, Avalon UT, Shanna (Tony) Jeppesen, Roosevelt UT and one Son Merlan Michael (Patricia) Murphy, Salt Lake City UT. She has 7 Grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way. Brother Neil (JaNae) Wilcken , Vernal UT, a Sister Julie Dove, Wilmington, NC. She is preceded in death by both parents, her beloved husband John and her three brothers, Leslie, Dennis and Lynn. Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 28, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. A viewing will be Monday from 9:00-10:45 prior to the services. Burial will be at the Rock Point Cemetery in Vernal, UT., under the direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
