Marcia Fletcher Liebhardt of Vernal left this world and returned to the presence of her Father in Heaven surrounded by her family on Sept 22, 2012. She was born on Oct 20, 1938, in Vernal, Utah to Martin Terry Fletcher and Bertha Alice Wardle. She married Anthony Armond Liebhardt in Elko, Nevada on April 26, 1957; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on November 6, 1980. Marcia was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served actively in many callings throughout her life. Whether she was serving as a Primary Teacher, Road Show Director Gospel Doctrine Teacher, Visiting Teaching Supervisor or singing in the choir; Marcia was always willing and happy to serve others and her church. She was often seen picking up many women and taking them with her to Relief Society functions or the Temple. Throughout Marcias life she had many opportunities to travel as she lived in France and Germany. She also live in or traveled to almost every state in the Union. She worked for many years at the Weston Lamplighter and Plaza Hotels over the front desk and really treasured the lifelong friends made during that time. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent many hours with them enjoying their lively company and smiling faces. She was a thoughtful and caring mother who cared for her children and grandchildren and loved having family dinners and get togethers, where she did a lot of the cooking, she was a great cook. Marcia is survived by her husband, Anthony Armond Liebhardt and her five children: Paris (Ren) Anderton, Scott (Teresa) Liebhardt, Kelly (Shelley) Liebhardt all of Vernal and Troy (Darla) Liebhardt of Battle Mountain, Nevada, and Tia (Dee) Lundberg-Leschin of Casper, Wyoming. She has thirteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Marcia is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Norman Fletcher, Lynn Fletcher, Terry Fletcher, her sister Helen McKeachnie and three grandchildren, Joseph Chet Anderton, Jeremy Martin Anderton, and Tyler J Liebhardt. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Vernal 3rd Ward Chapel, 475 West 100 South, with compassionate service provided by the Vernal 3rd Ward Relief Society. A viewing was held at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary 15 East 100 North, on Tuesday, Sept 25, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. Internment was in the Measer Fairview Cemetery. Services were entrusted to the care of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
