Lynette Hock, was born January 5, 1938 in Ogden Utah, she passed away on March 19th, 2023.

Lynette was born to parents: Jacob Nellen Hock and Verna Kendell Hock. She had one younger sister Yvonne (Bonnie) Hock.

Her younger childhood was spent living and moving from depot to depot following her father’s work with Union Pacific Railroad. Lynette was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on February 3, 1946.  At an early age, Lynette’s father was killed in an accident while working on the railroad. It was very tragic for the young family. At this point Lynette’s mother Verna Lynette and Bonnie all moved in with Verna’s parents, George and Mable Kendell. Where her grandparents owned and ran the Kendell Mercantile, at the mouth of Weber canyon.

Lynette went on to graduate from Ogden High in 1956.   

Her first job was with Saint Benedict’s Hospital 1955 which is where she met Joseph Dewaine Bingham. They later married on June 14, 1957. She also worked at Hill Air Force Base in 1956.

Shortly after Lynette and Joe married, Joe got drafted where he ended up being stationed in Germany this was 1962, Lynette joined her husband, they lived there for 2 years. After which they returned to Utah a built a house in Plain City. Then decide to start a family, at which point the brought Kurtis home in 1969.

Shortly after that the 3 of them were off to Milpitas, California to find their fortune. Within a year they were back in Utah, and decided to settle in Farmington. Where they made many lifelong friends, she was very active in the Church and the community. She worked for Farmington City as City Treasurer, for 25 plus years this is where she retired.

In 2001 she lost her dear husband Joe, and later that year lost her mother Verna.

Years later she met a man named Kent Limb. They married July 2006. This was a busy year for Lynette because she was blessed with the birth of her granddaughter Samantha Joe Bingham.

Lynette and Kent moved to  American Fork where they lived for a short time, before settling in Vernal Utah, were she became blessed with Kent’s 3 children , and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. This is where she would spend the rest of her days. Except for the many winters that her and Kent spent in Arizona with many close friends.

Lynette had many interests and talents; she loved playing the piano, she was very passionate about sewing, her quilts and blankets were gifted to many, and appreciated all! She enjoyed doing temple work. She loved to bake for everyone! Throughout her life Lynette traveled extensively. Visited many places and saw wonderful things.

Lynette is predeceased by her husband Joseph Bingham, father Jacob Hock, mother Verna Kendell, and sister Bonnie.

She is survived by her son Kurtis Bingham, his wife Kaytie and their daughter Samantha. Also by Kent’s three children and their spouses, Greg and Heather Limb, Tori and Kevin Keel, Gordon and Erika Limb. and all of their many children and grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, March 25, 2023  at 11 am. Viewings will be at the Farmington 5th Ward Chapel (272 North Main) 5-7 pm Friday and 9:45-10:45 Saturday prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Farmington City Cemetery in Farmington, Utah
