Lula Pearl Clark, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, in Vernal, Utah. Lu was born on April 13, 1936, in Vernal, the fourth out of nine children of Horace S. and Vergie Pearl (Wooley) Behrman. Lu grew up in Tridell, Utah, and attended school in Roosevelt, Utah, and Vernal. In 1956 she married Gerald Joseph Clark, in Salt Lake City, Utah. During their 61 years of marriage, they made their home in Bell, California; Vernal, Utah; Mesa, Arizona; Salt Lake City, Utah; Las Vegas, Nevada; and their current residence in Santaquin, Utah. Lu loved sewing, cake decorating, and spending time with her family. She was musically talented, she could play any song on the piano by ear and she played the accordion. She enjoyed being employed at various places over the years. She worked at the Vernal Music Store, Gerald's construction office in Vernal, Nuttall's Bernina in Salt Lake City, and Hancock Fabrics in Las Vegas. Lu is survived by her husband, Gerald Joseph Clark; two sisters, Sharon (Darryl) Steele of Maybell, Colorado, and Joyleen Haslem of St. George, Utah; a brother, Dean Behrman of Oregon; three children, Gary (Jennifer) Clark of Layton, Utah, Brenda Foster of Vernal, and Lori (Mike) Saupe of Bountiful, Utah; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews whom she adored (to many of them she's affectionately known as Aunt Pud (Pood). Lu was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Donna Rae McKowen of West Valley, Utah; four brothers, Horace (Buff) D. Behrman of Vernal, Utah, Arthur (Ike) Behrman of Grand Junction, Colorado, Veldon (Lop) Behrman of Maybell, Colorado, and Floyd Behrman, of San Jacinto, California. There will be a viewing at the Blackburn & Sons Vernal Mortuary, 15 East 100 North, Vernal, Utah, on Saturday, July 29, 2017, from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM, and a graveside service will begin at 10:00 AM at the Vernal City Cemetery, 1700 South 500 East. The family would love to thank the special people at the Beehive Houses in Maeser and Vernal for their loving care of their wife, mother, and grandmother for the past few years.
