Lowell (Squeak, Grandpa Bubbles) Aycock passed away October 5th, 2025 in Vernal, UT at the age of 71. He was born in Vernal, Utah to Thomas Edward Aycock and Dagmer Bylund on October 29, 1953. He was the youngest of 5 children and was raised in Vernal.
Lowell graduated from Uintah High School in 1971 where he played Football, Basketball and Baseball. Lowell was a 3-time high school state champion in baseball. After high school, he went on to play for Snow College on a baseball scholarship.
Lowell was offered a scholarship to play for BYU after his Snow College years, but decided instead to move back to Vernal and work in the Oil Field.
He first worked for R.W. Jones trucking for about a year. He then worked for N.O Nelson. After that, he bought a truck and was self employed for about 20 years. After trucking he owned his own pipe business for 7 years and eventually sold it. He then went to work for Graco for 24 years. At Graco he started out as a salesman, then was a manager then district manager and finally a Corporate Salesman. He worked for Graco in Vernal, then Texas and then back to Vernal.
Lowell was married to Nancy Alexander 1973 to 2018, and they shared many cherished memories during their time together.
As a young adult, Dad loved to hunt and play softball. As he got older, he found his love for golf and was able to attain a plus 3 handicap.
Dad was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings.
Lowell is survived by: Sisters, Ann Van Bezooyen & Jenny Jones (Wayne); children, Jason Aycock (Courtney), Jenny Hardy (Mike), Chelsey Blackburn, Madison Aycock as well as 9 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dagmer; brothers, Max and Paul; nephew Keith; and twin daughters, Nancy Ann and Nikki Lee Aycock.
Our Family would like to thank all those compassionate people who cared for him at the Landmark Assisting Living and the Rocky Mountain Hospice and his friends, who were like his family.
Funeral Services for Lowell will be conducted Monday, October 13, 2025, at 11 am at the Ashley 2nd Ward Chapel (3040 North Vernal Ave) viewings will be Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 5-7 pm at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and Monday at the Church from 9:45-10:45.
Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
