Lois Elaine "Laney" Buist

Elaine "Laney" Buist, age 78, of Vernal died June 10, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family; she was born October 30, 1938 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. The daughter of Elza Alvin "KICK" and Hannah Blanche Martin Hardy. Laney will be remembered for her gardening, cooking and cleaning. She loved family gatherings and her grandchildren. Laney work as a cook at the hospital and many years and at Walmart. She is survived by her son Rick Buist, daughter Becky Billings, Grandchildren Heidi (Jake) McKeachnie, Jeremy "Korbin" Buist, Anave Swett, great grandchildren Leatisha and Mason Swett, Dylan and Wyatt McKeachnie; sister Beverly Mecham Preceded in death by her parents, brother, Billy Hardy and sister, Peggy Chivers. Graveside Services will be conducted on Thursday, June 15, 2017 10:00 A.M. at the Rockpoint Cemetery, under the direction and care of the Blackburn and Son's Vernal Mortuary.
