Linette Caldwell Rollins
August 2, 1956 – June 9, 2026
Linette Caldwell Rollins, 69, of Vernal, Utah, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026 surrounded by her family. Linette loved life, but after bravely battling dementia, she was ready to go home.
Linette was born on August 2, 1956, to Larson and Lucille Caldwell in Vernal, Utah. At eight years old, she was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from Uintah High School in 1974. She then attended Snow College, where she earned an associate’s degree in science. After college she married Curt Rollins. The two married in 1979, and together they raised two beautiful girls, Kassey and Brooke, and a handsome son, Chase. Oh, how she loved her children and grandchildren.
Linette served as the CFO of Curt's Tool Inspection until she and Curt divorced after 20 years of marriage. She went on to work in other accounting roles before finally retiring as a beloved janitor for the Uintah School District. She loved that job, especially the kids.
When she was not working, you could find her at the golf course, or attending activities / church with her singles ward group. Linette was a social butterfly in the truest sense. She didnt just enter a room, she brought the energy into it. Linette was kind, loving, and considerate to all who walked through the door of her home. She kept an open kitchen policy and was always prepared to feed a hungry soul with food and laughter. She loved being around people and
loved to care for them. She had a heart so big it naturally extended to her animals. They weren't just pets; they were her spoiled companions, her shadow and her extra children (and honestly, some days they might have been her favorites).
Along with laughing, Linette loved to tease. Just ask her grandchildren. They will tell you she had the most wonderful laugh. She is loved by her children, grandchildren, mother, siblings, nieces, nephews, friends, and church family. She will be deeply missed.
Linette is preceded in death by her father, Larson H. Caldwell; her sister, Leslie Hina Caldwell Turner; her brother-in-law, David Turner; and Carlyle and Helen Rollins.
She is survived by her mother, Lucille Caldwell, of Murray; her children, Kassey Rollins (Paul Kempeinen) of Vernal, Brooke Glenn (Jimmy) of Vernal, and Chase Rollins (Destiny) of Vernal; nine grandchildren, Sophie, Saydee, Simon, Seager, Zoey, Emma, Hendrix, Asher, and Ellie; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Brexton, all of Vernal; her sisters, Mohea Sprouse of Tooele, Lisa Glick (Steve) of Sandy, Wendy Morton (Floyd) of Vernal, and Heather Carter (Val) of Pingree, Idaho; her brothers, Larson Caldwell Jr. (Freida Mae) of Riverton, Matt Caldwell (Melanie) of Herriman, Mark Caldwell (Candi) of Mountain Green, and Ashley "Bummer" Caldwell (Ethel) of Lehi; half-sister; Pam Haines (Harry) of Washington Court, Ohio, and 35 nieces and nephews.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain" (Revelation 21:4). Linette, Mom, is whole again, and her family finds peace in that promise.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Landmark Assisted Living for loving Linette, and her family, to the very end.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 11 am at the Rockpoint LDS Chapel (2575 N 1500 W) with viewings Monday, June 15th from 6-8 PM at the Blackburn Mortuary and 1 hr prior to service at the Chapel.
