Linda Joyce (Kimbley) Perkins

Linda Joyce (Kimbley) Perkins, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2026, at her home in Vernal, Utah. She was 71 years old.

Linda was born on December 2, 1954, in Clinton, Oklahoma, to Helen and Howard Kimbley. She was the youngest of three children, growing up alongside her brother, Danny Kimbley, and sister, Sharon (Kimbley) Brogden.

Linda treasured her childhood and the time she spent with her family. Some of her happiest memories were made outdoors at the lake and through the family’s time together at church. Her faith was an important part of her life, and Linda loved Jesus deeply. She carried her faith with her throughout her life and found comfort and joy in her relationship with Him.

As an adult, Linda returned to college and worked hard to pursue her education. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Adult Learning, a wonderful accomplishment that reflected her determination and love of learning.

Linda was happily married to her beloved husband, Steven Perkins. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, faith, and wonderful memories traveling in their RV.

Linda had many things she loved, but her family was at the center of her heart. She was an amazing cook and brought people together through the meals she prepared and the love she put into everything she made. She was also a passionate Oklahoma Sooners fan.

Linda was a much-loved mother to Candi (Stupak) Coeuille, Spencer Stupak, and Sarah (Day) Ekenrode. She cherished her role as a grandmother and was deeply loved by her grandchildren: Carli, Gabi, Dylan, Christian, Kylee, Blake, Zayne, and a baby boy who is expected in the spring.

She was also a proud great-grandmother to Violet and Waylon.

Linda’s love extended far beyond her immediate family. She was a treasured sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose kindness, laughter, generosity, and love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her passing leaves a tremendous hole in the hearts of those who loved her. While her family and friends mourn the unexpected loss of Linda, they find comfort in knowing that she loved Jesus and that her faith was a precious part of her life. Her family will carry her memory forward through the traditions she created, the meals she lovingly prepared, the lessons she taught, and, most importantly, the love she gave so freely.

Linda will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
