Leonard Sullivan

Leonard Karl Sullivan was born on November 12, 1948 in Roosevelt, Utah. He attended Uintah High School. After graduation, Leonard went on to serve a full time LDS mission in northern Germany, later he returned as a tour guide in a castle. He also attended BYU, where he graduated with a Bachelors in Science, and a Masters in Education. Leonard was a teacher and administrator in the Uintah School District for 34 years. He loved working with the families and especially the children in his schools. Some of his favorite hobbies over the years were refereeing soccer games, serving as a Cub master for Cub Scouts, gardening, and just spending time with his grandchildren. Leonard is preceded in death by his parents Rondo and Beth Sullivan. He is survived by his wife Cecilia, his five children; Mary Beth, Alex, David, Karl, and Kevin, and his 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Vernal Stake Center (850 West 100 North). A viewing will be Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary, and at the chapel one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that instead, donations be given to Utah Valley Healthcare Foundation. Under the direction of the blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
