Lacey Heiner died March 27, 2021 in Port Angeles, Washington from complications of her numerous health problems. She was 39 years old. She was born on November 20, 1981 in Murray, Utah to Daniel G. and Cathy Heiner. She was the baby of five children.
She graduated from Uintah High School. She was pursuing training in the culinary arts.
She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved teaching Primary.
Lacey had to fight to live for the last 20 years. She had heart disease, multiple sclerosis, and other health conditions. She’s had 4 heart surgeries. Her last surgery was in December, 2020. After that last surgery, she had to learn to walk again, but she felt better than she had for the years.
Lacey enjoyed playing sports but her heart condition prevented her from participating in high school sports. She loved to go camping, hunting, fishing, and riding ATVs with her family. She liked puzzles and playing games with her family. She’d loved to read, cook, and travel. She used to have a car that she liked to drive around. She loved to go to the ocean on family vacations. Later she moved to live by the ocean.
Lacey is survived by her parents, Dan and Cathy Heiner; her sisters Christy Heiner of Port Angeles, Washington and Cammie (Stewart) Thomas of Vernal; and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Alan and Luke Heiner and all her grandparents.
Her family thanks the Washington health care system, her doctors, and nurses for the good care they gave her. Thanks also to all the medical personnel who helped her in Utah.
There will be a graveside service: Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 12 noon. at Rockpoint Cemetery, 2270 West 2500 North, Maeser. In case of bad weather it will be held at Vernal First Ward, 100 North 500 West, Vernal. Arrangements are under the direction Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
