Jim Huber

Jimmie K. Huber beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 24, 2017 at his home with those he holds dearest. Jim was born July 27, 1951 in Roosevelt, Utah, the 5th of 9 children born to Frank Darrell Huber and Mary Lou Burgess Huber. Jim's great loves in life were ranching and his family. He loved his grandchildren and supported them 100%% in every venture they tackled. Jim took great pride in his farm and his cattle. He was a hard worker. He loved his time spent working with his lifelong friends, Larry & Greg McKee at T&L Livestock. Jim had a deep love for team roping and was a champion heeler and a founding member of the Gusher Roping Club. He passed his love of roping on to his grandsons. Jim fought an amazing fight and lived life on his own terms - never giving in to the odds. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Frank Darrell Huber, his grandparents, Frank and Ardith Huber and Hyrum and Fern Burgess, sisters Sharon, Glenda and Shelle. He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Burgess Huber of Lapoint, daughters, Lacey J (Chancey) Horrocks and Amy Lou (Brian) Robinson both of Lapoint, grandchildren Kynlie, Kaden & Kraesin Horrocks, Rylee & Thayn Robinson, brothers and sister, Lloyd (Nancy) Huber of Doylestown, Pennsylvania; Ralayne (Howard) Hill of Battle Mountain, Nevada; Brad (Carol) Huber of Lapoint, Cal Huber of Roosevelt, Dan (Judi) Huber of Lapoint, along with many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and good friends. We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Jim's amazing team of doctors; Dr. Michael Collins, Dr. Elizabeth Prystas, Dr. Lamia Boric, Dr. George Cannon, Dr. Jeffrey Wheeler. Also, Dr. Carl Breitenbach and the amazing staff at Good Shephard Hospice; RN's Kim1, Cassie, Leah, Linda, Donna and sweet Janice. Thank you for your amazing care. And last, but far from the least, Kim 2, Kaytia and Ligia - you are angels. Thank you for taking the best care of Jim. You have made a difficult time bearable. We are forever in your debt. We love you. And, a special thank you to the best nurse, friend and sister-in-law ever, Sheryl Dority. You went above and beyond and we are forever grateful. Thank you to the Lapoint Ward Relief Society and the Greg McKee family for your generosity. And, thank you to all our dear friends and family for the calls, visits, flower and food. Your love and support has helped ease our sorrows. Funeral services for Jim will be conducted on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lapoint LDS Chapel.
