Jean Charlene Heimke Guy

Jean Charlene Heimke Guy, age 86, passed away at the Uintah Care Center on September 3, 2015. She was born in Ogden, Utah July 11, 1929 to Charles and Elizabeth Heimke. She was married to Robert F. Guy until his death from cancer in 1986. Jean graduated from the University of Utah in 1951 with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught school in Jensen and at Central school for 15 years. She was a member of the JCs, the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and the Business and Professional Women organization. She also helped start and worked at the Tourist Information at the field house in Jensen for 23 years. Jean was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and a mother of 4 boys. She is survived by her sons; Bruce David and Paul Allen Guy, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and sons; Steve Scott and Eric Robert Guy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vernal Blackburn Mortuary. Friends and family may call 1 hour prior to services at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Rockpoint Cemetery. Services are entrusted to the care and direction of the Vernal Blackburn Mortuary.
