Gary Wall

Fredrick Gary Wall, age 89, passed away peacefully at his home on June 23, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born July 11, 1926 in Vernal, Utah to Fredrick and Jessie Massey Wall. Gary grew up in Jensen on the family farm where he learned to work at an yearly age. He took pride in working hard and learning new skills. After high school Gary served his country in Japan for two years, during World War II with the U.S. Army. He returned home and met his sweetheart Beth Robbins. They married August 2, 1948. They moved back to the family farm and were blessed with six children, 19 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 19 great- great grandchildren. Gary worked for chevron oil in the Red Wash Field for twenty nine years, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed hunting, fishing camping in the mountains, with family and friends. Gary took great pride in his farm raising and selling alfalfa hay. He was known for his exceptional gardens especially his tasty Cantaloupe. Gary was preceded in death by his wife, parents a daughter: Sheila Wall Gardiner; grandson: Larry Wayne Wall; great grandchildren: Oakley Paige Chivers, Brendon John and Brock Harvey Gardiner (Twins). Sisters: Vonda Taylor and Carma Glenn. He is survived by his sons: Larry Wall of Vernal, Terry (Colleen) Wall, Scott (Kristy) Wall; daughters Vickie (Scoot) Wilkins and Shelly Wall all of Jensen, Utah. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to Dr. Parker, Good Shepherd hospice and Jensen ward. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, June 27, 2016 @ 11:00 A.M. at Jensen LDS Ward Chapel). Friends and Family may call Sunday evening at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary from 6-8 and then on Monday at the church from 9:30-10:45 prior to services.
