Gary Mouw (Papa), age 77, of Vernal, passed on May 6, 2015 at Ashley Regional Medical Center. He was born to Harold Benjermin and Zelma Florence Bramer Mouw on November 10, 1937 in Neillsville, Wisconsin. In 1957 Gary met Shirley Mae Hawks while serving in the United States Air Force. They married one year later. Shirley was the love of his life. Gary served in the Air Force and played basketball on the United States Air Force team. He then went to work at International Harvester until he kicked off a long successful career working for Hughes Christensen. He worked his way up from the bottom of the ranks at Hughes to the prideful position as Western Regional Manager. He retired from Hughes and then He and Shirley moved to Vernal, Utah. Gary looked forward to Nascar races, basketball & football seasons. His greatest love though was being with his family and spending time with all of them. He loved to visit, laugh and go down memory lane.... Papa had great memories to share. "Some Kinda Good" was his favorite saying. His family loved that he always reminded them of good times! He is survived by his four sons, Gary Singleton Mouw, Terry Mouw, Robert Mouw & Steve Mouw; daughter, Kellie Mouw Cooley; sister, Judy Richart; brother, John Mouw. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Zelma; wife, Shirley; brother, Kenneth "Moose" Mouw; and sister, Bonnie Rae Varney. Graveside services will be on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Vernal Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by American Legion, services are under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. www.blackburnvernalmortuary.com
