Our Dad, Franklin Blaine Corbin, passed away Saturday July 11, 2015. He was born August 28, 1918 to Homer Blaine Corbin and Ida Caroline Orcutt Corbin in Worthington, West Virginia. Blaine worked in the West Virginia coal mines until World War II when he joined the Army. While in the Army he was sent to Utah where he met and married Deloris Minnie Farnsworth.They later had four sons. While raising a family in Vernal, Blaine enjoyed fishing, hunting, his garden and his affiliation with the Shriners and Masons. He later retired from Exxon Mobil. Blaine is survived by sons Steve (Christie) Corbin and Mike(Joni) Corbin, six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Deloris and two sons Homer and Robert Corbin. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Vernal Christian Church (1845 West 750 South) Family and friends may call at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 and at the Church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Shiners Hospital at Fairfax at Virginia Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.
