Frances "Dahn " Caldwell

Frances ‘Dahn’ Caldwell, age 69, of Vernal, Utah, completed her adventure here on earth on 12/11/2025. Born on July 26, 1956 in Vernal, UT to Duane and June Ross Caldwell, she was the youngest of 5 children.

Dahn attended and graduated from Uintah High School Class of 1974, and later received a degree in Business from Utah Valley Community College. She lived in many states, but spent most of her time in Colorado, Arizona, and Utah. She was able to enjoy many careers in her life ranging from modelling to flight attendant with United Airlines. She last worked for QEP of Vernal, UT, spending most of her time in Wonsits Valley with the lizards and scorpions.

Dahn loved being involved with her community. She was involved in many groups over the years, like, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Trees for Charity, Chamber for Commerce, coaching boys and girls for AYSO, the Storytelling Festival, Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo, Class of ‘74 Class Reunions, and her church organizations. She lived for adventure, and was lucky to experience many all around the world. She always claimed having children was her greatest adventure, and didn’t know true love until she had her children Dalton and Tayler.

Dahn is survived by children Dalton Blake (Ashley Shiling) Caldwell of Clinton, UT, Tayler Alyse (Hyrum) Fisher of Greeley, CO; grandchildren Victoria, Elizabeth, and Royal Caldwell, Madilynn, Braxton, and Ella Shilig; siblings Phyllis (Darrell) Jones of Vernal, UT, Leslie (Rich) Jackson of Rock Springs, WY, Calvin (Susan) Caldwell of Surprise, AZ; and many nieces, nephews, and great friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 11 AM at the Vernal 9th Ward Chapel 250 North 200 West

Viewings Monday 6-8 pm at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and Tuesday at the Church 9:45-10:45

Burial in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery.
