Ercilia Mary Sisneros “Archie”

Passed away on November 20, 2025 surrounded by the comfort of her home, just as she had wished in Rangely, she was born May 16, 1946 in El Rito New Mexico.

Daughter of Ignacio Chavez and Rufinita Chavez (Vigil).

On August 13, 1962, she married her childhood sweetheart Margarito Sisneros Jr., In the San Juan Nepomun Catholic Church in El Rito, New Mexico. The couple had lived in the San Luis Valley area, then later move to Morrill Nebraska. Archie stayed home and took care of the family. Then later ended up working as a CNA, a retail clerk, and in housekeeping in the local Hospital in Morrill Nebraska. 1978 the family moved to Rangely Colorado where Archie worked at a bakery shop, CNCC, and a few other places in town until she then found her passion and second home at Rangely District hospital where she stayed for 35 years. she dedicated herself to her job from sunup to sundown, and all Holiday’s so that her employee’s were able to spend their time with family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. On her only day of rest which was Sunday. She got up and went to church. Once she was home, she was on her phone calling everyone and telling them breakfast was ready. Needless to say she had a full house on that day with her family Archie enjoyed her Word search, and watching the game show channel, playing different card games, but her most favorite game was SORRY the “Archie” way.

She is survived by her children, Jelene and (Andy) Mann from Rangely.

Brian and (Sandra) Sisneros from Fruita. Karen and (David) Cassavaugh from Grand Junction, and Brenda and (Jim) Sherman

of Carlsbad, New Mexico.

11 grandchildren Quinton, Cameron, Roshelle, Shandra,Miranda, Eric, Nadine, Emily, Braylee, Breanna and Jimmie. 16 great grandchildren Calvin, Triton, Kebi, Decklin, Carter, Cambri, Garrick, Layla, Braydin, Nina, Klayton, Whitney, Clarabelle, Zophia, Mia and Nevaeh.

Sisters Rose Ortega, Evelyn (Farmer) Lopez. Brothers Isaac Chavez (Jolene) and Gilbert Chavez.

Archie is now in the arms of her husband (Margarito Jr. Sisneros), her two sons William (Bill), Norman Sisneros, her parents and sister Merlinda Sandoval.

Services are pending for a later date at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Rangely.
