Emma Jean Bingham Koziol

January 4, 1951 Vernal, UT - May 12, 2024 Salt Lake City, UT

Emma Jean was born in Vernal, UT to Priscilla Sarah Johnson Bingham and Herman Loeffler Bingham. After leaving to live in different states she ultimately returned to the Uintah Basin to make her home in Vernal. Emma Jean loved her family. She enjoyed hosting family meals and gatherings. She never served a meal without her special homemade ranch dressing. She loved all animals, especially her cats Hershey and Ruby. Some of her favorite shows were on animal planet. One of her new favorite things to do was watch homesteading videos on YouTube. Her hobbies included collecting cookbooks and recipes, reading, quilting, and sewing.

Her Siblings; Gladys Mae (Wilson) Felix, Beatrice Coulson, Bonnie (Lefty) Rye, Larry (Nita) Marshall, Douglas (Ilene) Marshall, Billie (Pat) Marshall, Lynn (Ruth) Marshall, George (Pat) Bingham, JoAn Parthesius, Carolyn Czech, Donna (Craig) Peterson.

She is survived by her children; Sara (Jamie) Krieger, of Williston, ND, Zachary Koziol, of Aloha, OR, 3 grandchildren, Hunter (Sarah), Mason (Paige), Hailey (Dalton) and 3 great-grandchildren; Noah, Allie and Essie. 

Emma is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Gladys and Beatrice, brother George and cherished sister -in-laws and brother- in- laws.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11 am at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary with a viewing held 1 hour prior to service. 

Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
