Eleanore (Ronnie) Marie Davis, age 93 passed away peacefully January 19, 2017 at her home of her son surrounded by family. Eleanore was born July 12, 1923 to Edwin & Anna Ronning Norum in Lisbon, North Dakota, Eleanore married Dewain Davis on April 14, 1945 in Provo, Utah. Together they had two sons, Kerry Dee Davis and Kevin Dewain Davis of Vernal, Utah. Siblings from previous marriages included the late Sherrie Rhoades of Goodsprings, NV, Brent Davis, Dix Davis, Julie Davis of American Fork, Utah. Eleanore was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Provo, then a member of Our Savior Luthern Church when her and Dewain moved to Vernal in 1990. She worked for Valley Oil in Springville, Utah and at the American Fork Training School. She was a member of the Timpanogos Archery club, was on the bowling league at Miracle Bowl in Orem, she was an avid reader, loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, enjoying painting, sang in the Lutheran Choir, was proud of her Norwegian heritage and loved her critters. She is survived by her 2 sons Kerry Davis (Pam) & Kevin Davis (Diane) of Vernal, Brent Davis (Sonja) of American Fork, sister Lilian Fenton of Orem, 22 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dewain, Mother & Father & Anna, daughter Sherrie Rhoads, sister Medge Wright, brother Eldridge Norum, grandson Jake Davis, grandson David Rhoads, stepson Dix Davis (Marge) and stepdaughter Juile Davis. Service will be conducted at Our Savior Lutheran Church (370 South 500 West, Vernal, Utah) on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Ron Pederson will be presiding over the services. Under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
