Earl Daniel Jackson

Earl was born on September 1, 1927, in Evergreen, TX, and passed away at home in Vernal, UT, on Friday, June 19, 2015 of a broken heart losing his wife exactly one month earlier. Earl is survived by four children and their spouses: Kaylene & Jeff Ellis of Vernal, UT; Danny & Joyce Jackson of Enid, OK; Larry & Jeannie Jackson of Arlington, TX; and Rene & Jeff Wood of Heber, UT; 27 Grandchildren; 28 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters, Robbie Foster of Coldspring, TX, Bobbie Cheshire of Houston, TX; and a Brother, J. W. Jackson of Cleveland, TX. Earl is preceded in death by his wife, Violet Kay Gardner (on May 19, 2015), his mother and father, James Robert and Balzoria Jackson of Texas; 6 brothers: Jimmy, Woodroe, Ellis, Rube and Willie Jackson and Forest Lewis, all of Texas; 2 Grandchildren - Jason Ellis & Jade Ellis; and 1 Great Grandchild - Tommy Wood. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 2:00 PM at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary (15 East 100 North) in Vernal. Viewing for his family and friends will be from 12:45 - 1:45 AM, prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial with military honors will be in the Vernal Memorial Park, under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
