Donna Rose Gardiner Karren was born December 7, 1932. She returned to her Heavenly Father on January 29, 2012. She was born to William Joseph and Nellie Rose Greenhow Gardiner in Vernal, Utah. She married Karl Dalves Karren on June 30, 1951. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 20, 1965. She loved spending time with her husband, married for 60 years and loving every minute of it. She loved the time she spent with her whole family. Donna enjoyed crocheting, knitting, camping, hunting, spending time in the mountains looking for wildlife, trips to Alaska, Yellowstone, and her hummingbirds. She was a collector of unique trinkets and often shared them with her grandchildren. She raised her six children and her grandson, Bryant. Donna bowled on a bowling league and also kept score when her husband went up to bowl. She was his bookkeeper when he was a contractor for American Gilsonite. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and held many callings. She was in the Young Women's Organization, the Primary, and was a Visiting Teacher for many years with Gayla Holmes. Donna is survived by her husband; Karl, children; Arlinda (David) Hicken, Karla (Alan) Fowles, Paula (Brent) McClure, Karl (Beth) Karren, George (Angela) Karren, Dalves (Wendy) Karren, brothers; Gail (Ellen) Gardiner, Don (Eva) Gardiner, Chester (Juanita) Gardiner, sister; Connie (Lew) Mitchell, and brother-in-law George Long, 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister; Reva Long, sister; Ferris Lee Stack and brother-in-law; Richard Stack. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Davis 1st Ward LDS Chapel with viewings Wednesday evening from 6-8 at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and 1 hour prior to services at the chapel. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the care and direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
