Delma Buist Watkins

Delma Buist Watkins, age 86, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 at her home in Vernal surrounded by her family.

 She was born February 15, 1934 in Vernal to Alama John and Gladys Pearl Richins Buist.

She marred Shirley Watkins on August 26, 1950 in Vernal, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. Delma served throughout her life and enjoyed serving in the temple and as ward missionaries with her husband.

She worked over 30 years in the Uintah School District food service from 1962 to 1993. She also enjoyed Camping, fishing on the boat, riding horses and spending time with her family.

Delma is survived by her Children, Linda Rowe; Alan (Deanna) Watkins; Wayne ”Skinny” (Ellen) Watkins

11 Grandchildren 33 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great-Grandchildren; brothers Earnest (Gloria) Buist, Roger Buist, Boyd Buist; Sisters Barbara (Benny) Holmes, Joyce (Van) Stubbs Connie (Gerry) Boren

Preceded in death by her Husband Shirley Watkins, brother Douglas Buist son in law Jimmy (Buck) Rowe, and her Parents

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. A viewing will be from 9:00-10:45 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park, under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
