Dean Ray Andrews

Dean "Ray" Andrews 78, of Vernal died Wednesday July 22, 2015 at his home. Ray was born June 4th 1937 in Center, Colorado a son of Harold and Ester Thomas Andrews. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the Destroyer USS Boyd serving in the U.S. Pacific fleet; He was honorably discharged as a Machinist Mate 3rd Class USN. He was a skilled Heavy Equipment operator ( the last of his kind) Ray has been a devoted Husband to his sweet heart Christine for nearly 52 years a loving Father and grandfather, and friend, he loved to fish, hunt, tinker in his wood shop, enjoying race horses and his little dog "TUFFY". Survived: by his wife Christine Cordova Andrews, sons Rory (Meliska) Andrews; Kenny (Keri) Andrews and Grandson Treyven Andrews all of Vernal. Sisters: Dorothy Hefley and Bonnie Clark he is preceded in death by parents and sister Nadine Boden. Funeral Services will be Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church. Viewing for Family and Friends is at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary, Monday from 9:00-10:30 prior to going to Church.
