Danniel Kurtz

It is with deep sadness we announce that Danniel Dee Kurtz passed away on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026. After a courageous battle with metastatic colorectal cancer at the age of 50. Danniel was born July 1st, 1976, to Danny Dee Kurtz and Delena Sue Bryant Kurtz Noack in Vernal Utah. Danniel was the second out of 4 children. He has 2 sisters, Darcy and Deleshia and 1 brother Dylan. Danniel grew up in Vernal where he developed a strong work ethic. He graduated high school and then soon after met his wife in 1995 and they were married September 27th, 1996. Together they had 3 children, Bradley, Danelle, and Brandon. Danniel was a pillar of strength and support for his family. He was a devoted father and was full of knowledge and would share it with you. There wasn’t anything he could not fix. He cherished Sunday dinners with his family, a time to laugh and catch up while enjoying something he smoked on the smoker all day.

Danniel loved his family and enjoyed most of all, spending time with them in the outdoors. Whether it was camping, fishing, or hunting, he was always ready to do one of them, and sometimes all 3 at the same time. Danniel was a grandpa “Papa”, to 4 beautiful grandchildren. Celeste Skye, Salem Rae, Zayden Roy, and Lynetta Dawn. They lit up his world. especially when the hard days hit. Danniel worked in the oil field all his life. He was a drilling consultant for oil and gas for the last 10 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Christy. His children; Bradley, Danelle, and Brandon Kurtz. His mother Delena and 4 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Darcy, Deleshia, and Dylan. As well as nieces and nephews; Dustin Keser, Darrin Keser, Anthony Vivar, Ashley Vivar, Daltin Llamas and Curissa Rhoden. Great niece, Aria Vivar and great nephews; Carter Keser, Anthony Jr Vivar, and Elijah Vivar as well as many close friends. We will all miss him dearly.

Danniel carried a quiet strength through the last chapters of his life and left an indelible mark on our hearts. He completed a well-lived life too soon and will be missed by many.

Danniel is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Wilson and Lynetta Kurtz, Garrey and Delea Bryant. His father Danny Kurtz, his Aunt Marjorie Gardner. His uncles Devere Kurtz and William Kurtz and Great Uncle Glen Kurtz.

A viewing will be held Saturday, October 3rd at 11 am, at the Blackburn Mortuary followed by a luncheon 1:30pm at The Kurtz Residence. Then next Fall we will have a celebration of life for Danniel in the mountains with family and friends.
