Cori Jo Wahl

February 27, 1998 — January 12, 2022

Cori Jordan Wahl was born February 27th 1998 in Vernal, Utah. She died January 12th 2022 in Baker, Montana. Cori graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor’s of Science in Geography, Environmental Science, and Earth System Science. Cori had a heart of gold and always carried a smile on her face. Her zest for life was infectious and took her on many adventures. Cori was never one to turn down an opportunity, she never wanted to miss anything life had to offer. It was the small things in life Cori loved most. A beautiful sunrise or sunset, the night sky, a scientific curiosity, or funky clouds. She was obsessed with all flowers and plants and anything nature had to offer her. She loved animals of all kinds but most of all her dogs (Chili & Zipper) and her weird cats. In her short time on Earth, she managed to make everyone she came in contact with feel loved and welcome. She had a way of making everyone feel like they were someone. She was an outgoing person and could make a friend everywhere she went. Cori lived to make people feel valued and important. Her loved ones were the center of her world. She cherished life and everything it had to offer. She knew how to enjoy every moment and soak it in. She was always seeking an adventure. She traveled the world when she could. She saw the rocky shores of Ireland, the beautiful flowers in Spain, and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. She was always eager to go for a hike and explore nature, or to try something new.

Cori was fortunate enough to meet her soul mate, Spencer Wahl, back in high school. Even though, neither one of them knew it yet. Flash forward a few years, and they are living on a ranch in Ekalaka, Montana where in June of 2020 Spencer proposed. They got married December 31, 2020. Cori and Spencer were able to go on many adventures together. In true Cori fashion, they were always spontaneous and last minute, which is exactly how Cori lived her life.

Cori is survived by her beloved husband, Spencer Wahl of Ekalaka, MT. Parents, Raymond & Mindy Terry of McKinnon, WY. Siblings, Shaylee & Jex of McKinnon, WY. Grandparents, Carol Lynn Gardiner of McKinnon, WY and Raymond & Carrie Shiflett of Vernal, UT. Father and Mother-in-law, Robert & Cherie Wahl of Elizabeth, CO. Brother-in-law Cooper Wahl (Jenny) of Elizabeth, CO. Grandmother, June Markstone of Port St. Lucie, FL. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her Grandfather Randall Terry. Great grandparents & great aunts and uncles.
