He married Krystal Harris Margis and she has since passed away. He has 2 children, Christopher Esraim and Daniel James Margis, of Corona, California and 2 grandchildren, Nathan Christopher Margis, and Katlyn Elizabeth Margis.

Siblings, Michael Margis, Timothy Margis, Terrence Margis, Lucy K Miles, Sharon West, Victoria Bogard and Ted Margis.

He is proceeded in Death by his wife Krystal Margis, siblings, Patrick Margis, Linda Solomon, Richard Margis, and Cecelia Thompson.
