Charleen Rasmussen Brown, 76, of Rangely, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on July 22, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on September 29, 1948, in Rangely, she remained deeply rooted in the town and community she loved for her entire life.

Charleen earned an Associate's Degree in Business and dedicated many years to a career in banking and at the credit union. She was known for her professionalism, integrity, and heartfelt commitment to the people she served. Charleen approached her work with care and competence, often going above and beyond to help others. Her devotion to her career was not only a testament to her strong work ethic but also to her love for her community, where she made a lasting impact on countless individuals and families.

On April 28, 1967, she married the love of her life, Jackie Wayne Brown (“Jack”), and together they built a beautiful life full of faith, family, and devotion. They raised three children—Nikkie Bell, Shae Bell and Howdy Brown—instilling in them the same values Charleen held dear.

Charleen was known for her unwavering love for God, her family, and her country. She was the sweetest soul with a fierce passion—never afraid to stand for what she believed in, especially her Republican ideals. Her strength, warmth, and steady presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Jack Brown; her brother Ronnie Rasmussen; her children Nikkie Bell, Shae Bell, Howdy and Michelle Brown; her six grandchildren – Kelby Bell, Lexie Bell, Courtney Powell, Rylee Bell, Teagan Brown, and Jackson Brown; and two great-granddaughters – Keelee Goetz and Courtland Powell. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love, loyalty, and faith.

Charleen is preceded in death by her parents, Manfred and Thelma Rasmussen; and her siblings Larry, Mike, Susie, Alton, Stanley, Terri, Delbert Rasmussen, and son-in-law Jerramie Bell.

A celebration of life will be held on August 9th at 1:00 p.m. at the L.D.S Church in Rangely, Colorado.
