Barbara Joyce Coleman

Barbara Joyce Coleman joined her Savior Jesus and her husband Charles (Chuck) Coleman, her forever love in heaven on April/9/2024, surrounded by her family. Barbara died of congestive heart failure and dementia. 

Barbara was born in French Camp, CA on 1/16/1944 to Rosie Elizabeth Hawkins Durling and Delbert E. Durling, she was the first daughter and the 4th child. 

Barbara married Charles R. Coleman in Reno, Nevada on Oct/2/1958, they had 3 children, Linda Marianne Tait, Charley R. Coleman, Allen E. Coleman. 

Barbara learned to be a hard worker at an early age, working in the fields in California picking Berries and vegetables. Barbara helped her husband Chuck run and manage his construction business while living in Montana. Barbara worked 2 jobs most of the time for the last 35 yrs, she did many different kinds of work from working in the canneries in California to being a security guard, cleaning homes on the side, she worked at Days market, Ashley Valley Hospital and JB's, she retired after working 20 years for Walmart. Barbara loved spending time with all her kids and grandchildren, keeping them for sleepovers, many trips to McDonalds and to the park having fun with them all, she was also known as (The Old Grandma) by the great grandkids. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend to know her was to love her. 

Barbara liked to play cards with her friends, yard work, yard saleing, going to the DI to find treasures, she was a long-time member of The Living Word Christian Church, she loved God, her church and church family. Barbara was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Barbara had 9 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. 

Barbara is survived by her children; Linda Marianne Coleman Tait & Billy J. Tait, Allen E. Coleman & Tracy Taylor Coleman, sister Diane & Brian McCoy, CA, Fred & Frances Durling, CA, numerous nieces and nephews, Grandchildren Joshua Allen Tait & Shaylynn Mitchell Tait-divorced, Erica Davis Tait. Shawn J.Tait & Jessica Bristol Tait, Lucas Adam Tait & Heather Leanne Tait divorced, Noah C. Tait, Rene Coleman & TJ Miller, Shelby Coleman Bodily, Charley Robert Coleman & Brooklyn Reber Coleman, Dakota R. Coleman Pike, Ashton Winn.

She is preceded in death by, Husband Charles R. (Chuck) Coleman, Great grandson Damon Russel Coleman, Son Charley R. Coleman, Nephew Jason Prather, Parents Rosie Elizabeth Hawkins Durling Harrison, and Delbert E. Durling, Sister Ellen Harrison Macias, sister Sharlene Durling, brother Delbert E. (Son)Durling, brother Bobby Lee Durling.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Jensen Cemetery.
