Angala Chivers Manning

Angala Chivers Manning , 88, passed away December 15, 2025 in Vernal Utah. She was born June 28, 1937 in Vernal, Utah to Clyde and Lavina Rosaline Palmer. She graduated from you into high school and earned a certificate of secretary skills while furthering her education, she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. She was always an active member with a strong testimony. 

She worked at St Marks Hospital as a telephone operator, she then went to work at Chevron where she met the love of her life, Frank Manning they were married June 12 1988.

She spent many hours crocheting many many animals that delighted all who received one she loved reading, and the last book she finished was the book of Mormon. She is famous in the community and her family for her delicious caramels, shortbread, cookies, bread pudding, and pies. She was a strong and independent, kind and loving woman. She valued family, and friendships.

Later in her life Angala loved Eric Clapton And was able to attend a concert of his in Columbus, Ohio in 2022 which she described as the most thrilling event she ever attended Angela is survived by her daughter Jennifer and Doug Johnson of plain city David and Pam Coon, Ran a Vernal, Diane and Glen Hanson Vernal and Mark and Valerie could rent a Buckeye Arizona 15 grandchildren 51 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren And many nieces and nephews she’s seated in death by her parents husband, Frank Boyd, Manning, brothers and sisters

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 20 at 2 PM at the Measer Stake Center of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints 2745 W. 1000 N. in Vernal where a viewing will start at 12:30 until 1:45 pm prior to the service

Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary
