Alice Fay Richens

Alice Fay Richens, 71, passed away on June 26, 2025 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Alice was born on December 31, 1953 in Decatur, Illinois to Raymond and Lila Bennett. She spent some time of her earlier years in Kansas and Wyoming but most of her life in Utah. She married her first husband, Doug Merritt and they had a daughter, Dusty. They later divorced. In 1977 she married Leon Richens and was blessed with another daughter, Leona. She spent the rest of her life in Vernal.
Alice loved camping and spending time with her family and friends. There were many that called her mom or grandma, She touched many lives with her love, compassion and humor.
Alice is survived by daughter, Dusty Riding, Sister Lee Uresk (Glen), brothers Mike Allen and John Allen, grandchildren Trevor Staley, Hod Staley (Marissa), CJ D'Anza, Breanna Oaks and 8 ½ great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepdad Bud Scott, her daughter Leona, siblings Barbara Dickson, Wayne Allen and Leona Bennett  a grandson Chris D"Anza and many aunts and uncles.

Graveside Services will be Wednesday July 9, 2025 at 11 AM at the Rockpoint Cemetery friends and family can meet at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary from 10-10:30 before going to the Cemetery.
